Connor is FIVE!

I WHALE always love you!

Hello little boy… it has been 3 years!!

From farm animals to dinosaurs and now to sea animals (he saw a whale in a shadow on the ground)... #ohmyheart how this little boy has turned into a cheeky, goofy, funny little man. I cannot believe that he is 5!

To think that I've photographed him since he was but a teeny tiny one month old! Dear little boy, as you grow another year older, may you never lose your childlike wonder and joy, and I pray you'd grow to be a man after His heart.

Watch this cheeky little face grow - one-month old; six-month old; one year old party; and two-year old portrait

The 山口 (Yamaguchi) Family

a fishing day
is the best kind of day!

‘お姉さん。。。お姉さん。。’ もう30歳になったから、子供ちゃん ‘お姉さん’ 言う時、きもちがよかった!^_^
Onaesan, jie, chichi... whatever language it’s in... it always feels so good when a little kid insist on calling you ‘big sister’.

Most of the time when I photograph families, I feel like for that one hour, we are really good friends hanging out, and having fun together.

Time just flew by with the gorgeous Yamaguchi family. who were so natural and easy to photograph. I watched Rikku-chan fish, take care of his sister on the playground, and even had a little scare when he ran up to me with a dragonfly he caught. #ohmyheart.

Can I please have more play dates like these?

Singapore Family: Calvina Dawn, EB, + ED

I scream, you scream
we all scream for ICE CREAM!

Nothing like ice-cream to make the teeny tinies happy after a super hot and humid Singaporean morning!

How the littles have grown! I last photographed Calvina Dawn’s beautiful family in 2017, and fell completely in love with her adorable twosome, EB and ED. What a difference a year makes - EB is still the fun-loving singing little miss chatter, while ED has grown into an entertaining cheeky toddler.

After our session, she left the nicest note too!

Calvina, thank you for inviting me to be a part of making memories together with you and your family. Thank you for believing and loving my art. #somuchloveforyoufour #okandmaybelouistoo. I’m so blessed by your friendship!

The Al Ansari Family

We all have a dinosaur deep within us just trying to get out.

Good times are made of this ... laugh out loud moments together with loved ones. Easy laughter, cheeky inquisitiveness, easygoing ... the Al Ansari family were amazing to photograph. Visiting KL from Dubai, they wanted keepsake photos to remember their holiday here.

Being a huge fan of travelling, I absolutely love photographing and interacting with overseas clients, as I get to learn so much from them - their culture and stories. One thing is the same though, that love and family bond - it transcends all cultures, language, and faith.

When I visited Dubai last year, most of the people I met and spoke to were not originally from the Emirates. According to my walking tour guide, she mentioned only 2 out 10 people you meet could be Emirati.

Who would have thought that I would not only get to meet, but also photograph an Emirati family out of Dubai! I'm blown away by how completely down-to-earth and friendly they were!

Being invited into homes to photograph, being offered a glimpse into each child’s unique personalities, I count it a blessing, to be able to do what I do. A lot of people ask if I ever get tired… honestly, how can I, when I get to hang out, get to know, laugh and joke with so many new people.

'Family means putting your arms around each other, and being there.'

Oh.. the way his smile lights up his face! What a special little boy. Despite the heat, the sunshiny 6-month old was so cheerful, from start to finish!

Singapore Family: Bubbly good fun!

"and at the end of the day,
your feet should be dirty,
your hair messy,
and your eyes sparkling."

Love it when families are not afraid to get a little bit (or a lot!) of dirt on, and are just so in-the-moment enjoying themselves. It definitely makes photographing them so much easier.

I love a session filled with lots and lots of loud peals of laughter. There is never too much laughter! The Wee family were complete naturals, and absolute sweethearts.

The Tay Family 17.jpg

In my course of photographing families, I always count my blessings when it comes to clients. Somehow, I feel like I’ve been so blessed with amazing clients! This particular park in Singapore is not one easily accessible by public transport. Coupled with difficulty in getting there, I was almost 30mins late for my session! I was texting this client of mine multiple times, apologising profusely, as I watched my arrival time on google maps, growing later and later… Not only did she assure me it was ok, when I finally met them to start our session, they were complete sweethearts!

'If you're happy and you know it, then your face will really show it!'

Family Portrait 35.jpg

This gorgeous family flew in from Sydney, for a very short visit with their family. I first photographed them when big brother was ONE. Eva first found me on google and after a few quick emails, we managed to squeeze in an hour long cake smash photo session for their smiley little tyke.

When she contacted me again for a portrait session, I got to meet her smiley, cheeky little bub number 2. Big brother E who was all cuddly in our last session, is now a handsome little man. He was also the protective big brother, who ensured that his little brother was well taken care of.
